Located on the borders of the Mediterranean Sea, between Palestine and Syria, Lebanon is an upper middle-income country and its GDP per capita has noticeably increased over the last 10 years. Lebanon has also achieved a considerable progress in both healthcare and education services provision.

Today, the regional political turmoil is one of the key issues facing Lebanon’s economy and society. Going forward, Lebanon government is making efforts to translate relative financial wealth as a high Middle Income Country, into broad-based, socio-economic progress for its people, with less regional disparities and poverty rates. Although the government of Lebanon promotes foreign investment as well, the business climate needs to be further improved to make the more conducive.
