ICD 3rd Mobile Photography Contest: Winner and Finalists Announced

We are delighted to announce the final results and the winner of the ICD 3rd Mobile Photography Contest. The contest invited resident citizens of all ICD’s member countries to capture and showcase their country’s culture, heritage, people, and development from their perspective and submit photographs for the contest before the 15 February 2023.

The entries were evaluated by an international committee composed of ICD relevant marketing, design, and creative staff members and agencies that provide design and photography services. The photographs were judged based on the following criteria: relevance to the theme, power of the message, originality in treating the theme, creativity, technical quality, and suitability for presentation in a workplace of an international organization.

We received more than 1000 entries from 35 countries, and we were amazed by the diversity and quality of the submissions. We would like to thank all the participants for sharing their vision and talent with us.

The winner of the contest is Siti Nur KHAFIDAH from Indonesia for her photograph titled "A girl on a bamboo raft". The photograph depicts a young girl who were enjoying reading Quran on a traditional raft during a small journey on river. The winner will receive an iPhone 14 or equivalent based on the availability of the phone as the contest prize.

The runner-up is Mohamed RIYD from Egypt for his photograph titled "A daily Life". The photograph shows how handicraft man spend his day enjoying crafting Egyptian antiques.

The third place goes to Amar HABEEB from the United Arab Emirates for her photograph titled "Teach them young". The photograph illustrates a girl very much fascinated with the ladies doing the craft work, and she joined them in learning the craft in Alhosn Festival in Abu Dhabi.

The selected photographs will be featured on our Annual Report, Annual Development Effectiveness Report, and other relevant ICD events. We will also feature them on our social media platforms with the hashtag #PhotoContestICD.

We congratulate the winner and the finalists, and we appreciate their contribution to promoting the culture, heritage, people, and development of their countries.
